This helps me, because my boy is a "slim size" in other brands, but then the length doesn't fit right. With Dickies, I just buy the size he needs without worrying about the slim, and they fit great! If your kid is a normal size, go up a size and they should fit fine. As for the stiffness, they come like they are heavily starched, but they wash out great. They make great uniform pants with the reinforced knee! I buy my son 2 pairs every year for school and they last the whole year! In fact, he still wears the ones from last year and they have little wear to show. Other pants I bought him before finding these, tore within about 6 weeks! The knees have enhanced pads.. The normal one is a bit slim even my son can be regarded between thin and slender. Other than this, this is a good purchase. I have ordered 3 pants so far.
